Introduction to Android for .NET Developers:

Maybe you’ve got an Android phone and you’re curious about developing for it?  Or maybe you’ve done .NET development for years and you’re looking for something to broaden your horizons a bit?  Either way, the Android platform is growing and knowing about it can only be good.  In this introductory session we’ll talk about the Android SDK from a .NET developer’s perspective and cover some of the basics.  You’ll find it familiar in some ways but different enough to get you out of your normal groove and maybe excited enough to knock out your first app!

Refreshments will be provided.

      Ben Von Handorf

Ben has been a .NET Developer since the second beta in 2001 and a professional developer since 1997. A little over a year ago, he was bitten by the Android bug and now mixes his daily .NET solutions with a healthy helping of the little green guy. He’s currently looking for some way to develop an Android, multi-touch, bow-making, location-aware guide for gamers to combine some of his (current) hobbies.
